Environmental Action Summit: Mangrove Potting Initiative

🌱 As a Tampa Basecamp Roots & Shoots Alliance member, each year Breach is tasked with leading a tabling or workshop event of our choosing for the year’s High School and Youth Hope in Action Summits. This year, Breach will lead a mangrove potting workshop with help from various sponsors and partners.

🗓️ The proposed potting and planting timeline for the project is as follows:

    • 2/27: During the first Hope in Action day we will lead an inspiration station (K-12) where we pot the mangroves with young people and their families at the University of Tampa,
    • 2/28: During the second Hope in Action day we will lead a workshop (4-8) where we pot the mangroves with young people and their families at the University of Tampa,
    • 3/7: During the first Environmental Day of Action, the Breach the Surface team will be releasing a free education webinar titled: The Estuary at breachthesurface.org/oceanclass,
    • 3/8: Finally, During the second Environmental Day of Action volunteers and partners will be planting mangroves provided by CCA.

🫶 We are currently seeking donor support from community members and stakeholders to successfully carry out the project. Donations to Breach the Surface, Inc are 100% tax deductible. For questions about the event or to become a corporate sponsor or partners, please email info@breachthesurface.org and someone will get back to you within 2 business days.
